I have to give credit where credit is due; this adorable hat actually belongs to my mom. She bought it on a great deal last winter, and looks amazing in it! I love the contrast of the white knit with a fun brown faux fur bobble.

When she mentioned wanting me to feature her hat in a blog post, the timing was perfect. I had just bought this gorgeous pom-pom sweater from Talbots (you might have seen me unboxing it on the day it came in on my insta stories), and I love the pom-pom on pom-pom look! This sweater is truly gorgeous. Initially, I was concerned about whether the pom-poms would be sewn securely to the sweater, but I shouldn't have doubted Talbots - the quality is excellent. Aside from the pom-poms, I also chose this piece for its color; I don't have many emerald pieces, but I would definitely be open to acquiring more of this shade after seeing how well this sweater pairs with the rest of my wardrobe.

Today was actually warmer than usual in NoVA, but of course I was still cold (one thing to know about me: I'm perpetually cold. Even in the dead heat of summer, I can't sit in the car with the AC blasting for too long before I start to shiver), so I layered an embellished collar top from J.Crew underneath and a vest on top for an easy extra source of warmth. The bit of sparkle is pretty without distracting from the busy pom-pom detail on the sweater.

My jeans are an old pair I have from Old Navy. They're super comfortable and soft from years of wear. And, of course, on my feet are the winter dynamic duo: Bean Boots and camp socks. Today I picked out the navy marled pair of socks, which may or may not have just been because they were the only pair of socks I had that wasn't in the wash (guilty as charged).
