Friday Roundup #7

1. Family Weekend & the Yale Game

Last weekend was family weekend here at Penn! My parents and younger brothers came up on Friday night and we all went to the Yale football game. It was such a fun event and the stands were packed with alumni, parents, and students all cheering on the Red and Blue. Although we lost (so sad, I know) it was such a fun night. My brothers and I enjoyed vegan Philly cheesesteaks and sweet potato fries from Hip City Veg for dinner, which was such a fun way to encorporate a Penn and Philadelphia tradition, along with throwing toast to Dear Old Penn. That night was chilly, so I wore my favorite oversized Penn sweatshirt over a flannel, jeans, and riding boots.

2. Fete Home

My aunt introduced me to the newly-launched brand Fete home, and I'm so in love with their collection! My mom and I always joke that it's a good thing that I don't have my own house because I would have an excuse to buy all the decor I'm always fawning over. My favorite part of the line is definitely the Chinoiserie collection. The tortoise flatware and bamboo-trimmed dishes are to die for!

Apple cider is my favorite "fall drink", but quarts of cider is not something that necessarily jives with a tiny dorm room mini fridge. I recently discovered these apple cider k-cups on Amazon. I'll admit, at first I was extremely skeptical of whether or not these would taste like real apple cider -- but after checking the ingredients and seeing that the main ingredients are dehydrated apple, sugar, and spices, I decided to give it a try. These are amazing; they taste great (not artificial at all!) and are such a comforting drink to settle down with during study sessions or just while you're relaxing at home.

4. A Day in The Life of Princess Eugenie of York

Everyone's been talking about Princess Eugenie in light of her recent wedding, and in the midst of the buzz, this 2016 article from Harpers Bazaar found its way into my feed. Although a few years old, I found it so interesting to hear about the Princess's day and the fact that she has a "real" job at an art gallery. I found her to be so down-to-earth and I love her clear passion for art and her work ethic! Definitely worth a read, especially if you (like me) don't usually follow the Royals and didn't know very much about Eugenie. I'd love to meet her!

5. L.L. Bean Flannels

As the weather fluctuates between crisp and downright cold, I've been loving my two L.L. Bean flannels. I love the fit and just how warm these are. They come in so many different timeless color combinations; I have the Blackwatch and Wallace plaid and love them both either on their own or layered under sweaters for those really brisk fall days.

Hope your week went well, and tune back to the blog on Monday for a fun new post!

xo,
